Днес ще ви представя нещо неочаквано за мен самата, което открих, споделено в един американски форум за бижута, който следя. Става дума за датската марка бижута Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Today I will present a jewellery designer that I found by chance after someone shared his website in an American jewellery forum that I follow. The discovery in question refers to the Danish jewellery brand Ole Lqnggaard Copenhagen.

I was really fascinated with the simple and elegant designs of the brand. Clear gentle lines, smooth precious stones, combination of gold and silver with genuine leather, … in one word … Beauty. 

The company was established by Ole Lynggaard in 1963 and became one of the leading jewellery companies in Denmark. Today it is a family business and Ole's daughter, Charlotte, works as a jewellery designer in the company. 

In 1979 Ole Lynggaard created a new design of the clasp which allows the women to combine more than one piece of jewellery on a single clasp. 

In 2008 Ole Lynggaard was named Purveyor of the Danish Royal Family. 

The model of the brand for 2012 is the world famous Danish supermodel, now photographer, Helena Christensen. By the way she is one of my all time favourite supermodels, especially in the unforgettable music video of Chris Issak's Wicked Game.
